The festival that honors one of New Orleans’ most famous (and sometimes infamous) drinks— The Daiquiri — is back. This September, the New Orleans Daiquiri Festival will become New Orleans’ Daiquiri Season. With 30 days of special events and tastings across the city, there will be an opportunity for everyone to enjoy the sweet relief of this New Orleans classic during the month of September.

Throughout September, bartenders around the city will offer their own unique take on the Frozen Daiquiri at their bars and restaurants, and at special tasting events. September was selected as the Daiquiri Season to give locals and visitors some cool relief from warm temperatures and to help give local bars and restaurants a boost during what can often be a slow time of year.

Daiquiri Tour

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Get on the bus and roll with us on a Daiquiri Tour, featuring New Orleans style frozen daiquiris, classic daiquiris, and daiquiri-inspired cocktails. Jump aboard an authentic New Orleans Party Bus* and roll with us around the city to the tune of what we've dubbed "Daiquiri Music." The Daiquiri is the icon of outdoor drinking in NOLA, it's the poster boy of Go-Cup culture, so Daiquiri Music is the outdoor sound of NOLA, what you hear rolling by outside, flooding out of bars, and being played on street corners. In other words, Brass, Bounce, & old-school Rhythm & Blues. We'll be rolling to Daiquiri Shops and some new school Craft Daiquiri venues. Hosted by local comedian, historian and Daiquiri Expert, MC Corey Mack, you'll learn a thing or two about the history of Daiquiris in New Orleans, as well as some essential Daiquiri pop culture insights (like where Beyonce & Jay Z stop for Daiquiris). $2 mini daiquiris will be available for purchase at each stop.

*ATTENTION: This is not your typical city bus tour. Party busses have limited seating, no AC, and come fully equipped with open windows, loud music and flashing lights. People may be dancing, possibly even right next to you. It’s not for everyone, but if this sounds as amazing to you as it does to us, get your tickets ASAP. Each bus is limited to 30 guests.

Pick Up and Drop Off Location: Ace Hotel, 600 Carondelet Street, New Orleans 70130. A tour representative will be there to check you in at the corner of Carondelet Street and Lafayette St (in front of the large glass windows of Josephine Estelle).

Price: $45.00*

*Daiquiris are not included in the tour price. Sample size daiquiris may be purchased for a special $2 rate at each tour stop. The tour also includes the Daiquiri Season 2016 Carnival beads, a signature Daiquiri Season go cup, a die-cut Defend the Daiquiri sticker, and a Daiquiri Season button.
